Questions & answersregarding Servinomy
What is Servinomy?
Servinomy is my personal lens on service delivery. It is the way I look at organisations to understand better:
- how value is created;
- how people collaborate;
- how service delivery emerges;
- how change can be supported.
It is not a framework, certification, or method that organisations are required to follow (About).
Why did you develop Servinomy?
Throughout my career, I saw the same challenges recurring in various contexts. Time and again, I asked myself the same question: couldn't it be simpler and more meaningful? Servinomy is my attempt to approach that question more clearly.
What does Servinomy try to solve?
Servinomy does not focus on technology problems. It focuses on challenges such as:
- lack of cohesion;
- silos between departments;
- unclear responsibilities;
- difficulties with change;
- loss of meaning in daily activities.
Is Servinomy an alternative to existing models?
No. I consider models, methods, and frameworks to be valuable tools. The Servinomy Lens helps me determine how and when to use these tools effectively.
What makes Servinomy different?
Many approaches start from technology. Servinomy starts from a simpler question: what are people trying to create together and why? Only from there is attention paid to facilitating processes and supporting technology.
Have you proven that Servinomy works?
I do not consider Servinomy a proven universal method. It is my working hypothesis, which I continuously test against:
- practical experience;
- organizations;
- existing insights;
- service delivery;
- change processes.
What is Servinomy's ultimate ambition?
Not to become the new magic formula. Not to replace existing expertise. Rather, to help organisations return to a fundamental question: how can we make collaboration between people (which is essentially what an organisation is) simpler, more understandable, and more meaningful?
My ambition is not to be proven right. My ambition is to ask better questions.
Why is Servinomy relevant in a world with AI?
Because technology is becoming increasingly better at answering the question: How?
However, organisations still need to determine why something exists, what value is important, what services are needed, and which human needs take centre stage. Human reflection remains necessary in this regard.
